FTEC Network

The FTEC-Network is an initiative from the Industrial Liaison Office of Spain in CERN and CIEMAT, to create a long-term network of technicians and Spanish companies with activities in CERN.

The FTEC (Formacion en las TEcnologias del CERN) Trainee Program has been established through a bilateral agreement between CERN and CIEMAT (Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas) in Spain.

This program is aimed at recent graduates from university or higher technical institutes seeking further training in a wide area of projects. Selected trainees join a team working at CERN and have the opportunity to enlarge their knowledge through participation in the hi-tech activities of the laboratory, in fields such superconducting and resistive magnets, power converters and their associated electronics, cryogenics and vacuum technologies and electronics for detectors, including radiation resistance issues, and related activities on infrastructures with a potential industrial return.

If you are still a student, and you want to apply to the FTEC Trainee Programme, this is not your place. You should go here.

If you are already an FTEC trainee, or a company interested in CERN technologies, just click in your profile in the menu you see on the left, to learn more about the FTEC-Network and start to participate.
